Sustainability Solutions to Share with Linchpins # 62

I’m sharing “million dollar” creative sustainability ideas.

You can have them for free.

Be a Linchpin.  Develop something: ship, ship, ship!

On-Target:

The secret to opening doors is to have the right key.

I asked a sales associate at a local store to let me into the restroom, and fully expected her to punch a code into this little electronic box.

Instead, there was a small red buzzer on the adjoining wall, that opened the door.  I didn’t see that one coming…

Where’s the Linchpin opportunity?

Sometimes the answers we need aren’t inputs or changes to make on the front end.  (You won’t rebuild your house, but you can take steps to reduce wasted energy.)  Taking responsible actions with what we already have can make a huge difference.

Simple.  Beautiful.  Elegant.  On-Target.  Sustainable!

That’s why we’ve resorted to calling them difficult problems. Difficult problems require emotional labor, approaches that feel risky and methods that might not work. They reward patience, […]
  • “I didn’t do the reading…”
This is a brave and generous thing to say. If you’re not able (or committed enough) to do the reading before you give your opinion, please have the guts to point that out. “I didn’t read the proposal, but my bias is…” We’re winging it. All of us. The world goes faster and faster, and […]
